As you can see, things have changed! A LOT!
Unless you’re a fellow blogger, you may not be able to fully appreciate the gravity of things, but we’ve moved! From being a simple Blogger blog to a self-hosted WordPress site, the transition was grueling. It was long, long overdue and it took me and my husband over 4 months to accomplish, but here we are – in a brand new ‘home’, befitting the content you see.
What’s changed?
Well, almost everything. Here’s a quick tour:
A dedicated page to help you navigate the recipes on this site – after all, we are essentially a FOOD blog!
Recipes are now displayed in a cool new format AND it’s print-friendly.
We have Ads now!
Yes, we do. All the content you see on this site is provided free of course, to you. But it can be quite expensive to run a site, and we have decided to assuage some of that financial burden by running some ads. While most of you probably have an Ad blocker running on your browsers, it would be greatly helpful if you could turn it off for this site and help us help you. This site uses cookies to customize the ad content you see and you can find more information in this Privacy policy we drafted for you.
Find fault with us…
To err is human. You know the rest. We are still converting some of the older recipes to fit the new recipe template (it is a gargantuan task, believe me!), but if you see anything amiss in the converted ones- pictures that aren’t loading, missing recipe steps or any other discrepancies in the content you are used to seeing– please let us know using this contact form. It’d be a huge favour, and we’ll fix it immediately so that everyone can have a seamless experience on this website.
Don’t forget to subscribe
Subscribe today so you’ll never miss another post. Don’t worry, we’ll keep your information safe, and we promise not to spam! What’s more, with subscription, you now get a FREE exclusive e-book sent to you – 42 pages of recipes that use no more than 5 ingredients! Breakfast, lunch, dinners, desserts and snacks – all sorted with 5 ingredients or less!
Finally,
THANK YOU! For those of you who’ve stuck with me from the time Love is in my tummy began as a Blogspot blog, and to the rapidly growing followers, your support and constant encouragement is what drives me to wake up each morning. I hope you like these changes, feel free to look around the new site – much like you’d explore a new home – this is our home, and we cannot be more proud!
Then come find us on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram – to let us know whenever you make something from this blog, or even if it’s just to say ‘Hi’. We’d LOVE it!

Thanks so much Lisa! I’m sure yours will be great as well. Your pictures are already amazing, now all it needs is a great ‘container’. Good luck, and do let me know if there’s something I can help you with.

Congrats on the new blog. I went self-hosted exactly a year ago and OMG the amount of work it took was phenomenal! So I feel your pain 😀 The site looks beautiful and I like your post here explaining the change over. It’s so worth all the work xx

The site looks BEAUTIFUL!!! I know how overwhelming it can be to convert a site from one platform to another, and I am wildly impressed with your end result! Plus, I ADORE your recipe style – simple and beautiful.

Thanks so much Mackenzie! It was so hard, so much to do, and the list kept growing! I’m so glad you like the recipe plugin – it’s called Simmer.

The site looks wonderful, Tina! I know all too well how grueling of a process it can be – and I feel like even when it’s done, we’re forever tweaking and making little changes to better our blogs and help them represent us just a little better. The evolution is constant, but totally satisfying. You should be proud – your site looks bright, fresh, and very inviting 🙂
Tina Dawson says
I could HUG you right now Dana! You are so right – it’s like the work never ends, but I’m so glad to have made the change. Thank you very much for those kind words! Means a lot!
