Ingredients
- 6 tropical bananas (substitute with regular bananas)
- 1/2 c rice flour
- 1 tbsp. cornstarch/custard powder/tapioca flour
- 1/2 c sesame seeds
- 1/2 c water
- 2 -3 tbsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Slice each tropical banana in half lengthwise. Set aside.
- Prepare the batter by combining the remaining ingredients (flours, sesame, water, sugar, salt). Let it sit for about 30 minutes.
- In a small pan, heat some oil for deep-frying. It is hot when a small drop of batter rises quickly to the surface without turning brown.
- Dip each banana slice into the batter, generously coating the banana and deep fry until golden brown.
- Drain over paper towels and serve immediately with ice-cream or chocolate. If not, just a small squirt of lemon juice will do.
