The BEST Chocolate Milk you’ve ever had

If you have my 5 min 5 ingredient VEGAN Chocolate Sauce in your fridge right now, this Chocolate Milk is yours in a minute!

If you already have my 5 minute 5 ingredient VEGAN Chocolate Sauce in your refrigerator right now, this Chocolate Milk is yours in a minute!

We all have our share of guilty pleasures growing up – for some, it’s sneaking up to the top of the refrigerator to get your hands into the cookie jar, and for others like me, if ever there were any more like me out there, it’s a bottle of Milo – the malted chocolate beverage. I was never fond of the other malted drinks and there were quite a few of them, but I could never resist Milo. Not the drink you see, rather the powder that was intended to become the drink. I’d scoop up tiny bowls of the powder, and eat it while watching The Lulu Show in the afternoons when the schools were closed for the summer.

For some reason, diluting the magnificent powder with milk seemed a crime – it tasted like the most intense mouthful of chocolate when eaten just as is. And while this obsession lasted for quite a while, over time it abated (thankfully!), and slipped completely off my mind.

And if ever I skimmed upon the memory while reminiscing about childhood, I always remembered the intense taste of the chocolate flowing down my throat and I found the craving return for just a short while.

5 simple ingredients and 10 minutes are all you need to create this 'creamy', fudgy Gluten-Free + Vegan Chocolate Sauce!!

Do you remember this 5 minute 5 ingredient VEGAN + Gluten free Chocolate sauce I posted a while back? Well, I’ve gotten used to having a jar of it in the fridge constantly, and a couple of days back, I had a weird craving for some chocolate milk. Granted it was cold outside, and it would have made more sense to want some hot chocolate instead, but funnily all I could think about was a tall glass of cold chocolate milk. So I did just that!

Considering that I used 2% milk, the result was still creamy and rich, much like the richness I remembered from the undiluted mouthfuls of Milo powder, thanks to this awesome Chocolate Sauce. And it took me just a minute to assemble it. In another minute, it was gone and I was on the couch in a mini chocolate coma, tucked under a warm blanket!

Even my husband, who’s at best indifferent to the charms of chocolate found it hard to stop drinking this Chocolate Milk. And when I made him a glass, I made myself another too, just to keep him company!

If you already have my 5 minute 5 ingredient VEGAN Chocolate Sauce in your refrigerator right now, this Chocolate Milk is yours in a minute!

I cannot possibly describe how insanely delicious this Chocolate milk is. Nothing made with store-bought syrups can compare. And the toppings, are not even necessary. You could, if you had the time make it all pretty with chocolate shavings, nuts, chocolate chips, wafers, marshmallows and whipped cream. But when the craving hits, who has the time for embellishments?!

Just combine the Homemade Vegan Chocolate Sauce to milk (dairy/non-dairy) and apply to face! I bet some Almond milk would go great with this chocolate sauce. Maybe next time. Congratulations on achieving the highest chocolate bliss in the shortest amount of time!

Tina, this is like no chocolate milk I’ve ever seen. Decadent, droolworthy — its a dessert — no, a celebration. Absolutely gorgeous! I have a feeling it will put me in a chocolate coma — but I’m willing to take that risk.

A chocolate coma, I’ve always said, is how I’d like to go, if the choice were upto me! 🙂

Looking at the pictures, before seeing the recipe, I expected this to be packed with more calories and sugars. But it’s sort of healthy for a chocolate milk! Gorgeous pictures!

Wow this looks like dessert. I’ve never made my own chocolate milk but it has to be so much tastier than anything store bought. I would top mine with marshmallows. Yum.
