VEGAN Spiced Beet Chai Latte – flavored with Torani Chai Tea Spice Syrup + Rose water, it is a fragrant, soothing drink for Fall! #ad #PumpkinSoBasic
I cannot say it enough: I love FALL! It is singularly my favorite time of the year, even surpassing Christmas (which used to be my favorite for 26 years till I moved to the States and saw the colors on the trees). I now lie in wait all year to watch the leaves burst into shades of fire, amber and scarlet; when the sultry heat of summer gives way to cool winds, random bouts of rain and grey, overcast skies where the sun plays hide and seek: there is magic in the air.
Many of you here may not know this, but I came to this country 5 years ago on Halloween’s day. As my plane began its descent into JFK, and the clouds cleared and gave way to aerial views of the ground below, I saw it for the very first time: Fall. It was so beautiful that the image of the green, amber and gold tree tops, sprawling as far as the eye can see, remains etched in my mind. If I close my eyes and reminisce, I can see it now, clear as the day I first landed.
My boyfriend (now, husband) picked me up from the airport, drove me to a coffee shop and it was Pumpkin spice everything. Despite the cult following that this flavor commanded, it would be 2 years before I actually dared to taste it. Yes, it was absolutely fascinating, but I got over that feeling in about 5 cups.
I am all up for tradition, and the comfort that seasonal routine brings – like Apple pie on the Fourth of July, or Turkey at Thanksgiving, but it seems such a shame to neglect other Fall produce and flavors for the sake of one promoted by a single coffee chain.
Take Beets for example.
My obsession with beets is a long and controversial one. I take immense pleasure in sneaking beets into places it shouldn’t be. Like cakes, burgers, hot dogs, oatmeal, sorbet and even ketchup! And since I first made this Rose milk with beets, I’ve fallen irrevocably in love with the idea of floral rose water mingled with the earthiness of this humble, yet absolutely gorgeous root vegetable.
This Vegan Beet Chai Latte is the warmer, more intense counterpart of the rose milk. Made with just 3 ingredients, largely thanks to Torani Chai Tea Spice Syrup, which condenses a world of flavors into one simple ingredient, making yourself this new and comforting beverage is as easy as counting from 1-3!
Because, let’s be honest, folks: Pumpkin Spice everything has gotten quite redundant. Isn’t it time we bid adieu to this tired tradition and make way to new ones? Beets, chestnuts, caramel, butterscotch, praline and that was just off the top of my head! Don’t be basic! Start your own Fall trend and with Torani’s 100+ flavor options, it cannot get easier than this.
As for me, the Vegan Beet Chai Latte is my new Fall trend. Made with Torani Chai Tea Spice Syrup with the most intense flavor profile, the most earthy, sweet beet powder and almost ethereal Rose water, this latte wafts its heady aroma into your head as the spices warm you from the inside.
This is Fall magic, at its best.
My love of Torani Syrups is well known around these parts. Here are some of the other recipes I’ve created using Torani flavors: Coconut Cake | Strawberry Hibiscus Iced Tea | Christmas Fruit Cake | Fried Gingerbread Cookies

If you’re in the U.S., you can buy it online from OakTown Spice (https://oaktownspiceshop.com/). You can also make your own by drying thin slices of beetroot, and grinding it in a powerful blender till smooth.
